Our most recent news is the success of our Festival & Fair Fundraiser that took place on June 15. We held an aebleskiver & sausage breakfast at the pavillion from 8am-12pm and it was a big success. Thank you everyone who volunteered and for the support of those in our community who came out to enjoy the treats. The weather was fair, we hung a banner announcing the street dance band that will perform on August 24, sold buttons for the Grand Prize drawing to be held also on August 24, and really enjoyed the company of everyone.
The last fair board meeting was held on June 19, and we determined from your input that we need more activities for kid's at the annual Rutabaga Festival & Fair, and we agree with you. If you would like to volunteer or know someone who has some spare time, please send us your inquiry on our contacts page. This position does not require a year round obligation, but rather a few hours during the summer months of July and August.
Our next fair board meeting will be July 9, 6:00pm at the pavillion in Askov. The community is always welcome to attend to share your ideas.
